How the economists view layoffs and hiring.
I just read a great article on how the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics has released a report looking at layoffs and hiring. It's a new way of looking at the employment trends. This article by Dan Ackman can be found here. It talks about the job environment in terms of people looking to not get laid off (job holders) and people trying to find jobs (job seekers).
